If it's just a clunk, your subframe bushings are shot.
You can drop the center metal core, and cut a bit off it, which
will compress the bushing and buy you some time.  Or, you can
add on a few metal and rubber washers, as I did on mine.

If the tires are running, look to your strut tops.
