He blew the engine at the top of the mountain, at the end of his first run. They couldn't get it fixed in time for the second run.

I was wondering the same thing... while I was up there working station 16. I wanted to see him do another four-wheel power slide around that tight left turn... you know.. the same one that I saw the guy in the Peugeot Turbo go off, snap a tree in half, and land in the woods...
