Rally Ideas?

I'm thinking it might be fun to get together with other listers in
northern CA and do somekind of rally. I'm looking for ideas on what kind
of event to hold. I think that it should be basically legal and safe
such as a poker run, but that's boring. Any ideas that anyone has about
an event that would show off or at least use the 4wd system that we
enjoy and yet not be destructive to paint, vehicle or occupants would be
welcome.
