poor idling after start 4kcsq

I am having with my engine after I start it cold.  It starts fine but then
nearly dies out and then the idle races to about 1500rpm and then almost dies
out again.  It does this for about one minute and then runs perfectly.  I
have replaced the ignition system---wires, plugs, rotor, and cap.  I have
heard that this has been a common problem but  have not heard of a solution.
