2500 mile trip report

The famed Arkansas speed run is complete again, with only one real problem.
Left Orlando on Sunday, 95 degrees, drove into the biggest, baddest SE
heatwave in like 10 years. Car ran fine. On the way out, clicked over 200K
miles. Coming back (by myself), ran 85 to 110 mph the whole way (including
an extended 105 blast across AR following a 'dealer plate' Eclipse). Lowest
mileage 23. 

At the Florida line, the battery indicator came on - limped to Lake City.
Removed regulator/brush assembly - one brush ground to nearly nothing.
Replaced mit spare (heh, heh...). Got a quick jump and hit the road again.
Even with the 40 minute stop I did Nashvile to Orlando (700+ miles) in 10.5
hours...
