My local rebuilder sells the regulator set for about $20.
But keep in mind that if the brushes are that gone, the bearings, etc
can't be far behind.  They just rebuilt my sister's GLI alternator (90amp)
for under $100.  They even sandblast and paint the outside so it looks
brand new, and they provide same day service most of the time.
