RE:3 dumb questions



Pat,
I've played around with advancing and retarding my 87 5KTQ timing belt
and unually set the flywheel at TDC with the distributor rotor pointing
at #1 cyclinder. This should put #1 cyc. at TDC. With this setup the cam
sprocket mark should line up with the valve cover/head interface. If you
go one tooth advance or retard on the cam sprocket it is real obvious.
You also have to make sure the two distributor marks are lined up for
the static distributor timing (at TDC)or it won't start.
