86 5000CS TQ Warning light Qn
I recently had my 86 5000CS QT in the shop for a new
clutch and clutch slave and clutch master cylender.
Whilst it was there I asked them to give it a tune up
and they replaced the oil, oil filter, plugs, fuel
filter, air filter, etc and gave it a tune up. Now,
whenever I step on the gas and the turbo goes above
about 0.9 bar the ignition/fuel sensor warning light
goes on (the orange one in the centre of the bottom
row of lights). If I back off the gas slightly it
goes away. The drivers' book says that this should
indicate bad gas but I've gone through 2 tanks now and
still no change. At first I thought it was a loose
wire but the change needed in acceleration is so subtle
that I can't believe it is that.
Anybody got any ideas? Could it be that they've tuned
something badly? Or knocked/damaged a sensor? I am
going to take it back to them but I'm not sure I really
trust them to figure it out quickly.
Cheers,
AD.
