I've only had my '94 90CSQ for about a month now, so I can't comment too
much on reliability and so forth. But I can say "so far so good." :-)

I had similar questions as you have and I asked here if I should
(essentially) stay clear from the 90 or not.

The concensus from the crowd was to go for it and that there should be
little to worry about.

That said, I don't know anything about the mechanical, reliability, or
performance improvements between a '91 90 and a '94 90. So, buyer beware.
Surely others here can comment though.

Dunno, on all counts.

I know that my 90CSQ stickered in the high $20's back in '94.

Climate control :-) and Quattro. Never did I think I would ever say "I
can't wait for winter."
