One of the regular gripes on this list is about the price of
what
US listers call "window regulators". I often wonder how
many of
the gripers ever think to grease the track every now and
then.

Well, I plan to do mine, now that my door is apart. Is there
any
other window part besides the track that needs grease?

Don't forget to grease the cables as well. That's where they
break. Close inspection of my snapped cable during a recent
rebuild indicated that the cable wore away from rubbing at
one point, which was close to the window motor. If you want
to do the job properly I suppose you have to remove the
motor from the door, open it up, grease inside the cable
spool, and replace. Not too hard to do, well worth it.
