90q20v stereo upgrade

Just changed the factory head unit in my 90q20v. I didn't
want to cut the factory wiring harness, so I called the
closest dealer. They had no clue. I tried another dealer,
same response. Ended up trying four dealers, they all had
no idea what I was talking about. After I explained it,
they then swore that nothing existed. I even tried Audi
of America, they too were of no help. Tried local stereo
shops, and the big chain electronic stores, and they said
they could order the three harnesses for between $40 and
$60, but it would take weeks to get it.

I decided to try Crutchfield, and when I called, the guy who
answered the phone knew exactly what I was talking about.
I ordered the three wiring harnesses($10), din tools($3),
antenna adapter($9), and antenna relay($9).

I called on Sunday, and he advised me that due to the UPS
strike, I may not see the goods til next friday, since they
ship 2day UPS. I'm working in my yard on Tuesday morning, and
out of the corner of my eye, I see something big and brown
coming down the street...sure enough here comes my package.

Opened it up, and everything was right...broke out the
soldering gun, heat shrink tubing, and had my Kenwood CD player
in my dash in lessthan 30 minutes. :)

The biggest improvement is the front imaging, since now there
is enough power to properly drive the front speakes...I imagine
it will improve even more with better speakers.

I can provide detailed steps, and the part numbers if anyone is
interested.

Regards,
John
