Pat is of course, correct here. As one of the, um, purveyors of fencing,
I will be the first to recognize that taking something without permission
is wrong. Sometimes the excitement of the moment, combined with a healthy
dose of chutzpah and maybe a dash of stupidity, can lead to actions that
would otherwise be unthinkable.

That said, think of the marketing implications of a section of fence
that cost a few bucks making its way across the US to another event.
You can't buy that kind of brand loyalty (well, maybe Saturn can...)

Anyhow, like I said, Audi can send me a bill or call me and bitch.

Gotta wonder though how a very large section of fence can be removed,
rolled up, and transported in broad daylight, without being noticed...
Could it be that it was no big deal at the time?

Also, it appears that there was in fact a red quattro that was on the hill
sans permission, which was not my own. I apologize to Paul and Bob for
jumping the gun and assuming they meant me.

If it's any consolation, one of my rolls of film was double exposed!
