the 1600 and 1800 had those respetive engines.  The 2002 had a 2 liter I
believe, and the other 2 had some sigifigance, although I don't remember
what.  The 318 was 3 series, 1.8 liter.  Yes, it's a 1.9 liter now.  There is
reference to engine size in the BMW symbols, although it's wrong in certain
instances.  However, until those nifty 20V emblems, Audis had no engine
 badges.  Call me stupid, but the BMW system makes a lot more sense to me
(and numerous other people, I'm sure.)  Just my opinion.
