I had this at one point and I believe it was a spring related to the
airbag assembly, which was replaced under warranty.  I think in fact
there was a TSB, but don't quote me on that.

Could it be that that's just the only time you hear it (because of close
walls, slower driving)?  How loud is it?  Does it happen when you turn
the steering wheel?  Only when you're moving?  Only when you're
braking?  Could it be a squeaky brake pad?
