I5 thread

     Regardless of whether you do or don't like the I5, it is too long and 
     won't fit into the front of an A4.
     
     [MHO: I love that off-beat sound it makes at higher rpm, and the 
     bulletproof, sluggish feeling of gradual acceleration.  Actually, as 
     slow as it is by modern standards, the 84 4kq's published 0-60 time of 
     9.5 sec is the same as other pretty-quick 84 cars such as the Saab 900 
     turbo and Honda Prelude.  I think it might even be the same as an 84 
     RX7, but don't quote me on that one (flame repellant on).]
