You'd probably have to strip the clear coat.  Then oil it religiously with
tung oil.  Maybe buffing it with fine steel wool will remove all the
discolored clear coat, then you could touch it up, but I doubt it.  Any way,
oiled wood is nicer than poly coated wood.
