I hadn't heard about this until George Harrison told me about it and was
kinda thinking along the lines of a bit of a social thing. I don't quite
know how to get tickets for this yet, or indeed if you need to buy them in
advance but I was kinda thinking why don't the UK listers who are going (and
any US listers who are coming over for it) get together for either a bit of
a spin around the roads around Chatsworth (being kind of local, I lived with
my parents for around 20 years about 20 miles away and used to cycle all
around there, I can vouch for the fact that there are some cool roads in the
area, not to mention the local public houses) and / or a few drinks? It
would surely be rude not to? I was thinking of a kind of Brit version of the
American convoys to Pikes Peak. The amusing series of anecdotes we
invariably get from the US listers after similar events will be nothing
compared to the giant killing stories of a little 80 sport wasting a convoy
of five or so ur-q's (ONLY JOKING)

The only thing I would say is that somebody has to wait for me when all the
ur-q's clear off in clouds of dodgy valve stem seal induced smoke. Something
tells me local knowledge may not be enough to compensate for a shortfall of
100 odd horsepower.

If anyone knows more about the event (do you need to be a AOC / QCUK
member?) and / or thinks this would be a good idea.........

If someone has already sorted something like this out then I apologise for
repeating the suggestion.
