yes, i think you're right.  340hp odd for the s8.  the s6 achieves the higher
output because of a tuned exhaust system...

same 5v heads as far as i understand.

most interesting thinh imho is that audi are using a modified a6q as the basis
of the s6.  this and the special engines for the s-series seems to indicate
that the audisport people are going to produce a distinct and unique series of
cars with which to compete with bmw and m-b.
