It's a Ford Sierra (comparable body to the old Tempo), with RWD (an AWD
version was available in Europe).  As for it being a Mustang on steroids,
that's not too far off the mark as far as the powerplant--that being a much
refined version of the turbocharged 2.3L I4 (remember the pinto?) as used
in the Mustang SVO and earlier ('80 or so) Mustang GT.  

I believe we've got a list member who has one of these things (the Merkur),
too!
