How To Activate Climate Control Test Mode (2'nd try)

This query to the list bounced from Coimbra so if it ends up being a repeat
post, I apologize for the WOB.

I really did check the archives first! I found a wonderful write-up by Steve
B on how to access the Climate Control Test Mode but it doesn't seem to work
on my car. His write-up didn't indicate which model and/or year it applied
to. The way to activate was to Press "warmer" with "outside temp" (don't
recall the press order but I printed out the post) Anyway, can someone tell
me how to access climate control test mode on an '87 5kcstq? TIA (And I
promise to buy a Bentely soon!)
