Watch out for too much hand motioning.  In some bad areas, it could be
miscontrued by passersby as gang signing.  Not to be negative, but I've
heard of people using sign language being shot at!

Of course, if you have to worry about that, you should be concentrating
on getting out of the area, and not worrying about looking at cool cars!
