re: clutch...what clutch?

Thanks to everyone that responded to my plea for advice/ tips. 

My tranny is on the ground waiting for parts.  The problem which led
to the sudden failure of the clutch is this; the springs that hold the
release bearing to the actuator arm broke.  Everything else looks to
be in really good shape, yet.  I am the second owner of this car, I
have receipts for everything from when this car was new.  (even oil
changes).  I can not find anything about a clutch job.  However this
cluth and throwout bearing are in too good shape to have 120,000 mile
on them.  Im going to put them back in.  

On a side note, I think that some of you have a really wry sense of
humor.  Due to some of the horror stories, I almost took the car to
the dealer.  However after tackeling this thing.  I know can see that
a clutch job on an 87 4ks is no more than an EASY Saterday morning
job.
