If they still make those Subie brakes like the ones on my previous '85 GL
Wagon (it wasn't pretty or fast, but it was CHEAP to insure), then there's a good
reason why they are flying down those hills.  The brakes needed replacement so
often that the owner's manual actually recommended using engine braking as
much as possible!
