Do you have Daytime Running Lights (DRL's)?  I heard Audi had DRL's in
Canada(not sure though). This is the only reason that I can think of why
you would need
your headlights to turn off with the handbrake.  Man, if my headlights
turned off with the handbrake I would get into trouble on snowy night
drives!  Anyhow, if I indeed applied an 'merican marketing gimmmick to
our beloved Audi's I would say that there is a switch of sorts in the
handbrake mechanism that opens the headlight circuit... If your unsure, a
call to the Audi service dept. never hurts.  Call them up, ask them how
they would fix your problem and then go by the parts and fix it yourself.
