Mt. Washington

My $.02 worth.....

I have spoken to Paul Giblin from Mt. Washington and was most distressed
with the events that happened at the Mt. concerning the banners.
Because the corral was my idea in the first place.....I was very angry
about what happened. As a promoter of the event....I feel violated and
used. I approached Bob W. with the idea, after getting the go ahead
from the Mt. to pursue the idea.....he (Bob), Wendy, and Paul Royal took
an idea that I felt was farfetched and flew with it and flew nicely.

Promotion materials are VERY expensive. The cost of them come from
limited advertising budgets. When this material is loaned for use, it
is expected to be returned intact. Having done promotions at various
shows and race tracks over the years, I know what it is like to have to
replace stuff that is taken. Often the budget is limited and profit
margins so small, that even one banner can hurt the advertising budget.
This turn of events hurts. Granted Audi is a big company and Mt.
Washington appears to be a big company, but let's face it......nickel
and diming the profits away can destroy a company faster than huge
embezzlements.

I feel that Bob and Paul had every right to express their disappointment
in their fellow Audiphiles.....and that people who consider those who do
the "work" to put on such an event, power hungry, have no place
considering themselves part of the group.

I don't want to beat a dead horse, here, but I DO want to let you know
that I KNOW what happened, am Distressed about what happened, and want
to publically inform you all that I think Bob and Wendy and Paul did a
magnificent job in setting up the corral and afterward, mending some
major bridges that were burnt due to a couple of people's inability to
be sensible and considerate of others.

Now that I've said my $.02.....ANY responses to this should be directed
to me personally as I AM no longer on the list (due to the petty BS that
keeps reaccurring)......Don't talk about me behind my back.......have
the b--ls to say it to me directly.

Thank you Bob and Wendy and Paul for a job well done and I look forward
to next year's corral.

My best to all of you.

Trish
