That is correct, Bryan. I have just cancelled my '97 delivery in favour of the '98 
because of a REAL sport package (springs+shocks+Z-rated Dunlop SP8000) for $400 
instead of a cosmetical *sport* package on a '97 (no susp mods, just the 16" wheels 
with H-rated Eagle LS and bolstered seats) for $1100.
I regard the lack of sport seats in a '98 as an added benefit: I'll be installing 
REAL sport seats in mine, so I'd waste less money on an unwanted item. YMMV, tho.
