I don't know whether the '91 200q should stall with the oil filler cap 
removed, but I do want to comment on the above statement.  The reason 
the MC equipped engines stall when the cap is removed is because UN-
metered air is allowed into the intake tract ... if you allow enough 
air in this way the mixture becomes extremely lean because the FI didn't 
"know" about the extra air (breathers as others have called them).  If 
there is a way to allow air into the intake tract without going through 
the MAF sensor you can have the exact same problem.  

I thought it was only the S4 that had the MAF-equipped system ...
