  I can tell you that Mobil 1 will out last Castrol Syntec. It's that
5W/50 is pushing it. Castrol has to
add an IV to thicken the oil to make it a 50. IVs don't last long and
most good synthetic oils don't
use then. If you want a synthetic oil better than Mobil -1 you have to
go to Redline Synthetic. http://www.redlineoil.com/ .
