Well, here's what we *have* learned:

1. The driver was very drunk.  It's not clear exactly how drunk, but
   he wasn't in any condition to drive.

2. There were four people in the car, and three of them were unbelted,
   and those three died.

You'd think it would be possible to emphasize these things enough, but
experience proves otherwise.
