Oh Montana (marginal Audi content)

Montana lawmakers are pressing for a special legislative session to end
that state's pedal-to-the-metal daytime speeding law, the only one of
its kind in the U.S. As of 9/4/97, 177 people had died in traffic
accidents there this year, 42 more than the same period last year, a 31
percent increase. Others point out factors other than 100mph-plus
speeds may be responsible, including alcohol, not wearing seat belts,
nighttime accidents when the limit is 65mph, and so on.
