I have the Ate Power Discs with the star slotted pattern on my '87 5 Tq
with Roefren-sp? carbon tech pads. I chose this combination for a low dust, low
squeal, decent stopping power upgrade. I've only had them on the car for
about 3 months with nothing but great things to say. Definitely low dust compared
to OEM, metalmasters, or the like. After cooking my last set of OEM rotors at the
track in Colorado, I chose this route. So as far as track time goes, I can't quite
comment yet. When I broke them in during high speed stops, they seemed to stop
really well without any fade or loss of pedal feel. Made some nice clouds of
billowing smoke though. I also run Super blue and stainless lines so this probably
helps out too. HTH,
