I have run Gislaveds with studs for several years and been very pleased
except of course that they run so rough and noisy that I can't even hear
that wonderful engine winding up.  So, I need new ones and have see the ads
for the Yokohamas. Does anyone on the list have an opinion about the
comparison between good studded snows and the Yoko Guardex?  I presume thay
may be just as good in snow, but what about ice?  I figure you guys east of
the Missippi must know about this.  Of course, we do get ice once or twice a
year in Colorado too, and it can be tough to negotiate on a 7+% grade.
