Bosch euro lights won't adjust left-right???

I have a question for those of you who have installed euro lights
in your 5000/200: Do your horizontal adjustment knobs do anything?

I finally had enough time to install my lights - and have found that the 
horizontal adjustemnt knob (the "top" one) has no affect. Am I missing
something here? They are Bosch Units (I am not sure if there are also Hella
versions).

Any advice would be mucho appreciated.
