This is a typical problem area.   Your best bet si to find one in a 
wrecking yard and replace it.

The rack is not that bad to replace.  I did it the first time (subsequent
times in other cars...) in an evening.  The replacement rack should be
sleeved with stainless - this solves the problem with the early 5000
racks.  Don't loose heart yet, the rack isn't that bad.  :-) (Did that
sound like someone from the middle ages, in a dungeon, comforting a
prisoner? Yikes, the similarities are disturbing!  :-)
