As the above-mentioned A4q owner, I certify the above account in its
entirity (even the coolant spewing out of the radiator and grille areas).
I also would like to point out that my A4q took the compliment very well.
I think it was actually encouraged to the point that it exceeded all
expectations. At the end of the day, I was very proud of the outstanding
performance given by my A4q. The playing field was nearly even,
considering we were all autocross virgins (drivers and above-mentioned
cars). But the A4q conquered the more powerful, bigger tire'd
competition('95 Mustang, not '94, although there's very few differences).
It was a proud day for Audis all over...it definitely impressed the crowd
at the event sponsored by Mercedes Car Club of America. I just wish I
could get some of the results so I can find out how I stacked up against
the 190E 2.3-16V's.
The pressure is on to have a repeat performance on October 12th (...not a
geyser of coolant spouting out from an Audi hood, but an excellent audi
outing for both parties).
BTW, the 5000CSTq has made a speedy recovery. Downtime, less than 48 hours!
