4KQ acceleration/idle problems
Audi'ites,
I've been having some trouble lately with my 4K. It seems to get very
bogged down when I start it up, feels like it's not running on all
cylinders. When I press down on the throttle, it continues to bog down.
The only time it improves is if I stab the accelerator all the way to the
floor, and then the car revs up very quickly. As I let up on the throttle,
the sputtering/rough idle continues. It does not good to feed steady
throttle until the car warms up because this problem can occur after an
hour's worth of driving too.
Of course these symptoms are sporadic (took the car on an 800 mile trip
without incident) and I cannot get the car to misbehave in front of the
wrench. I cleaned my ISV several months back and have tried new plugs. Any
help would be appreciated.
