Well Joe....
I'm thinking......
I'd rather please the Performance gods than the Audi gods....
I'm sick of being out accelerated by Indians on push-bikes in my 'fine
german car'...
I wish I had half the torque of my other 'fine german car' a BMW 750 but
the V12 wont fit in the Audi..:)......
Audi came up with a great idea with the quattro system..then ruined it
by sticking an overweight, undersized, not-particularly smooth I5 out
the front....
The expense of making these motors make big power is silly when better
results can be obtained with BIG DUMB AMERICAN engines for half the
cost...
Aluminium blocks for V8's make them a BETTER proposition for a nose
heavy Audis...
Everyone told me i was ruining my Z car when i stuck in a BIG DUMB
AUSTRALIAN V8,a Leyland 4500cc aluminium engine..but the fact was it
went a lot quicker, sounded a lot better, was lighter and so handled
better, and it was cheaper to maintain.....
I'm not and never will be a purist, I only care about real world
results, acceleration, braking and handling, and not being a millionaire
I just can't afford a McLaren F1.......
I'm a rebel at heart..laws were made to be broken, cars were made to
modify!
Having said all that...I am experimenting with upgrades for the turbo
engine at this stage and if it gives me what i want without costing an
arm and a leg I'll stick with it.
