RE: extreme lack of oomph in 5kCST
Fellow Audi Fanatic,
the CD is the canadian version of the CS, it is virtually identical. As for
the 87 200TQ Avant, I've never seen an Avant before but I understand that the
84-88 5000 was the american and canadian equivalent to the european 100 and
200. So I will assume that they are the same cars, can anyone else verify
this for us?
Did you do the output diagnostics? If so, when checking the frequency valve,
do you hear the buzzing sound? If not, then either you need to replace the
valve or replace (fix) the computer. If you do hear the buzzing sound, you
might try checking the fuel pressure regulator on the side of the block. Good
luck!

Hi !
Sorry for disturbing, but you are mentioning bentley (as everyone else =
on this list), the same time you are stating that you have an '87 5000CD =
Q.
I have bought an '87 200 TQ Avant two months ago, and are searching for =
an "owners manual" / "repair manual" for the beast, as i think i'm =
having the same problem as Brett, but maybe the cam timing has been =
retarded..........
Searching around the net, it seemes that the only answer is the=20
"Audi 5000s 5000Cs Official Factory Repair Manual : 1984-1988, Gasoline, =
Turbo, and Turbo Diesel Including Wagon and Quattro
by Audi of America "
Do you, by any chance, know wether the above will cover the 200TQA ?
You assume that Bretts car is 86-88, is there a Bentley covering just =
those models ?
-sorry for any inconvenience.
