Phil can (and probably will) answer this much better than I can, but as I 
understand it, the WR engine is 2144cc, compression 7:1 and has mechanical 
tappets, whilst the MB is 2226cc, compression 8.6:1 and has hydralic tappets. 
There are other differences in model specification, for instance, the MB has a 
Torsen centre diff and the dash is orange instaed of the green of the WR.

How I wish it was... No, seriously, though it has its faults, I would not 
trade my MB for any other vehicle on the road - even a 20v.
