I have put 186,000 miles on a quattro wagon and barely 30 on a Volvo AWD
wagon during a recent test drive.  IMHO, the Audi is superior in every
respect, possibly excepting the autobox, but 30 miles isn't really
enough to make that comparison fair.  As for the AWD systems themselves,
Audi's is clearly superior and the hands-down pick of the smallish but
growing AWD litter.
