Minimal Audi Content...Fiat Question!
Disclosure statement: this question is posed to the forum becuz you
folks are the sharpest ones I know!! Direct replies are ancouraged.
As of Saturday, parked in my garage **next to my Audi 200** (note
Audi content...) will be my 1958 Fiat Spyder Roadster. This is the
first time in 20 years I've had it close enough to work on!! With
the gas tank cleaned out, an oil change and a battery (as well as
checking ALL the brakes and installing new brake fluid...) it will be
ready to fire up.
A question for you restorer-types: the dash on this Fiat is covered
with a padded cloth. The cloth cover (quilted in appearance) is
intact but I fear it's quite fragile. I dread ripping it!
Does anyone know of any treatment or chemical which might be applied
to this cloth to help preserve it and maintain whatever flexibility
and strength it still retains?
Or can you direct me to someone in the car restoring biz who might
recommend something??
As I said, please reply via direct email. TIA, folks!
