RE: 200hp 2.8 30v in A6

Hopefully I'm not beating this horse to death.

This is what I recall reading a few months ago on AutoWeek when they were 
at the official press introduction of the A6:

The A6 has more room in the engine bay and is able to accomodate a 
freer-breathing exhaust manifold.     There's just not enough room in the 
A4's smaller bay to fit it.

The other factor is that 193hp is right on the line between different auto 
insurance classifications in Europe.  European A6 2.8 30v models will get 
the 193hp version of the motor (you can verify this at the www.audi.de 
website).  I'm not sure what markets besides North America will get the 
200hp version.
