RE: Very Low mileage(?) '88 5000S in Wash Post



Miracles happen. My mechanic drives a '80 Mercedes 300D. He bought it
about two years ago with 60K kilometers on the clock. He drives it a lot
and in those 2 years he replaced only the water pump. I see him daily
working in his garage (although he probably would prefer calling it
"workshop" :-) ) and indeed I never saw him working on _this_ car. Of
course, I can be seen working on the Audi every other week :-(
