Re: Tires again!!!

Maybe it's the application because I have a pair of D60A2's on the front of my 4000s and a friend has 4 of them on a Jetta III and the results differ.

They seem to be average in the dry, but I can aquaplane pretty easily at highway speeds. I drove the Jetta on a 5 hour trip through some pretty heavy
rain and never had a problem at speeds upto 90mph. Felt great. I wonder if it's because the 4000 has 6" alloys and the Jetta has 5.5" steels. I
didn't think a half an inch at the rim would make that much of a difference.

My other favourites are Bridgestone Potenza's. I had a pair last 80k and they were rotated. Now, the 4000 has a 1.8 attached to an autobox so it
never really goes over 80 and usually cruises at 70-75, but I don't like to use the brakes as I try to keep the momentum up so it gets cornered pretty
hard.

The Potnza's are in my good book at the mo', but I'd like to try a set of Yokohama's.

Arryn.
