Correction: ABS was optional. I infer this because, well, I have a 5-speed
5000 Turbo (6-86 manufacture) MC engine, 016 gearbox, 5-lug wheels, and no
ABS. So it would seem that you'd just have to get the same shafts mine
has, I think- or the outer joints might still be problematic. Hmm,
ProbleMatic- what Audi should have named the 5000 autobox? Doesn't have
quite the same ring to it as Tiptronic, but you never know.
And that's some fearsome boost numbers you're pulling there. Wasn't that
turbo suspect, though? My water-cooled version has 170,000 miles on its
first K26. Only pulls 1.3 bar, though...
