If that is the same relay as in the '87 5kcstq I had simular problems in my
5kcstqwagon many years ago. That relay (then) was very expensive so I took it
abart to find it all electronic...no contactors. I resoldered it (the circuit
board) and it worked great for many years (until I lost the car to the ex).
