i had occasion to introduce a friend to european cars yesterday. he'd rung me
and said that a mb 2.3-16 (cosworth) was being advertised and he was
interested.
it was my first drive in what proved to be an absolutely immaculate black w/
black leather/ac/sun roof example.
i took it for a trash on road which i know well, and concluded that while it
wouldn't trouble a ur-quattro, it was a seriously nice car.
anyway, the point of this ramble is that we audi geeks often pride ouselves on
the engineering in our cars, and rightly so. however, if anyone has an
opportunity to do so, check out the sunroof mechanism on a mb 2.3-16 cosworth.
it has to be one of the most beautifully executed works of engineering art that
i've come across. amost worth owning the car for.
a beautiful car which performs adequately, and well worth serious consideration
for those inclined.
