93 100S waterpump and belt

Hello. 
I have a 93 100S with 120k miles on it. I called the dealer to ask what
kind of service needs to be done and I was told to replace the waterpump
and the timing belt.

The water pump was replaced at 60k miles and the timing belt was replaced
at 80k miles when I had the oil pump replaced.

I know I have to replace the timing belt for sure, but do I really have to
replace the waterpump as well? I've been getting it serviced at HBL Audi
in Tyson's Corner Va. But someone's told me that they replace unneccessary
items often.

Any help will be appreciated.
