4 Pot Brembo results
Well gang, my MB 190E 2.3 16V stops like right now.
I have made some rough measurements before and after (very seat of
pants)
and I can attest that between upgrading to the Dunlop 8000 (16") and
changing the brakes, I have shortened the braking distance from 60 and
80 MPH by at least 10%
or more, but I will make some accurate tests in November with a fellow
journalist skilled
at accurate brake testing. I'll post the results.
The best part of it all is the ease of modulation, sensitivity to the
touch, and really no fade that I can detect.
I paid Bekkers Import for the Brembos, Stainless Steel Brakelines, new
wear Sensors, Brake Pads, and 300 MM Drilled Rotors about $1450. What a
deal.
I will try working on my V8 and adapting these Calipers sometime later
this year.
Of course I will let you all know the results.
Next month I will travel to Paris for a week, then later on to Tokyo for
the Motor Show.
If any of you are coming to Tokyo, let me know, maybe we can meet up.
Bye for now.
