A little bit of an update...

The police think this was probably a "colors" incident ... gang members aren't allowed to wear their colors on the school grounds and seeing my bright red "sports car" there was probably considered an egregious affront to the rival gang, whose colors are blue.  They reminded me that driving a flashy car in that part of town is not the smartest thing to do, regardless.  Next time, I think I'll borrowed Paula's beat-up VW Fox so I blend in a little better ... brushing up on my high-school Spanish probably wouldn't hurt, either!  ;^)
